I am very much a beginner and am curious about some of the finishes of candle that sell retail. Some have a frosted look to them. Is that a finish that is aquired through the cooling off period or is it a wax glaze put on after? Also I have seen candles that have a mottled appearance (not snowflake) but rather a Granite look to them. I have a candle that is a deep burgundy with what looks to be darker bits in the wax. It almost looks like exterior has been sponged, sort of marbley looking. How is that achieved? |
