if you have a WAP enabled phone you can use http://www.excell.to/ They offer SMS to E-mail services You need to go to their site to register, but I believe the service is free. -Chris " How to send email by sms Just send an SMS to the gateway phone number +393334774753 with the following basic syntax: EMAIL user@domain .subject.message If the first character after the destination address is a dot (.), eXcell will assume that the text following up to the next dot is the subject. You can omit .subject. , in this case an automatic subject will be added. If you want to use dot (.) character in the subject text you can delimit it with quotes ("), as shown in the example: EMAIL user@domain "subject.with.dots"message This is how the email, and the envelope, will look like for registered user: From: youremail@youraddress To: user@domain Subject: subject Message body or for unregistered users From: (eXcell) Subject: GSM message from phone number ... Message body (eXcell) " |

you could get an IRDA usb/serial device. a bluetooth usb/serial device, or get a sim card reader, which you insert your sim card straight into, and it reads the data straight off that: http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=040314215020652&moduleno=36793 |

There is a service, http://www.redalertz.co.uk , which allows sms messages to be forwarded to a number and then displayed on your pc screen through their website. I may be able to find one in your country if not the uk. Please provide country. |
