Question ID: 307627
After I've done a FIND (using WIN98SE), I would like to tag selected
files for collection and/or deletion.

If there's a suitable program out there, please point me to it.

Alternatively, I am sure that there's some bright Researcher who can
produce such a thing at the drop of a hat.

Well, I am about to drop my hat ......

Many thanks!

Bryan

Instead of using another program, you can just stick with the FIND feature.

Press CTRL to select individual files that you want to delete within
the search result.

Then simply select all the remaining files then press CTRL + X and
paste them in your chosen folder OR just drag the selected files into
it.

Now, pick up your hat. :-)

Wow, Feilong

I've picked up my hat.

Now, if you post an Answer, I will send you a reward.

(This deserves a 25 Star Rating, so please show me how to do this as
well, using whatever magic you consider appropriate.)

Hi Bryan,

Thank you very much for allowing me to post an official answer. Since
you already have a solution, I'm going to supplement that with a link
to some magical concoctions for Windows 98. Simply press the "Shift"
key before clicking on a link so it will open a new window or
right-click on the link and choose "Open in New Window" for your
enjoyment. ;-)

As to the 25 stars, I can only manifest another 5 for 5 stars or 10 at
best (head tilted to the left and crossed-eyed). :-)

But after analyzing the problem, I reckon that since magic is
basically illusion using sleight of hand, strings, and mirrors, I
decided to use mirrors. Use two mirrors face to face and at an angle
to the 5-star rating. When done properly, you'll end up with its
reflection within the reflection on each of the mirrors (2 each) plus
the original 5 stars on the monitor -- voila! -- 25 stars in all!

Best regards,

Feilong

WOW! Feilong ...

You are indeed an illusionist, so here come the 25 Stars that you truly deserve.

I am sending you a tip as well but ... Well ... Maybe that's just another illusion.

Warmest regards

Bryan

Thanks for the magical 25-star rating. Don't worry, with the mirrors I
know you've given me a tip of $25 as well. However, I'll keep in mind
that it's just an illusion. :-P

Cheers,
Feilong
