I am looking for the lyrics to an old country song that goes something
like "if ever any boy and girl could kneel and thank the Lord above,
we could, we could, you and I."

"We Could" was written in 1955 by Felice Bryant.

Here are the lyrics:

"WE COULD . . (Felice Bryant)

If anyone could find the joy
That true love brings a girl and boy
We could, we could, you and I

If anyone could ever say
That their true love was here to stay
We could, we could, you and I

When you're in my arms
I know you're happy to be there
And just as long as I'm with you
I'm happy anywhere

If anyone could pray each night
And thank the Lord that all is right
We could, we could, you and I

  (Repeat last two verses)"

Here you can listen to the song, as performed by Ricky Davis and Linda Lay:

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "thank the lord" + "we could you and I"

I hope this is useful. If anything is unclear, please request
clarification; I'll be glad to offer further assistance before you

Could you explain what you mean by "send the music via email"? I'll be
glad to try to help, but I'm not sure exactly what you're wanting to
do.

Thank you Pinkfreud I am so happy you got it from my poor memory of the words.
I would love to know how to send the music from the site. Great work
that you were able to come up with the sound. Four stars -- don't
know where to rate you.
