I want to determine the latitude/longitude for input like the
following: 7 Stuttgart Germany, ... or ... NM New-York USA. Basically
what I need is a free web service to query or database to download
where I can pass the parameters zip/town/country and get the
longitude/latitude. It must not be necessarily all cities worldwide,
but it must be worldwide, and a good deal of them. Thanks!

If you no longer need a Researcher to look into your Question for you,

There are several free online services that can provide latitude and
longitude in the manner you seek, so if your screen-scraping solution
is not sufficient, you can either reclarify this Question, or post a
new one, for help!
