Hi lucyfur,

What you are looking for is a biological, medical, or scientific
illustrator. These are the people who illustrate biology and medical
textbooks, draw anatomy charts, illustrate slide presentations, depict
the stages of surgical procedures, and carefully document microscopic
organisms. They work in all media including -- pencil, pen & ink,
watercolor, marker, and computer graphics.

To find one that suits your needs, you can do a simple Google search
for ?Medical illustrator? ; ?Biological illustrator? or; ?Scientific
illustrator.? Most have portfolios online so you can see if they do
the kind of drawings that would work for your project. Don?t include
the word, ?teeth? in your search terms. Just because an illustrator
hasn?t drawn teeth or doesn?t display any on his or her website,
doesn?t mean s/he won?t draw them. Instead look for someone who
displays a good knowledge of human anatomy.

If you need someone local to you (for example, if it is YOUR teeth you
want drawn) add your location to your search terms.

Another way to find an illustrator nearby would be to contact the
biology or art department of your local university. You may be able to
hire a student to do the job for less money than a professional would
charge. Art departments often have a branch of medical or biological
illustration.

Here are some websites to get you started. The illustrators I?ve
chosen here are just to give you a quick look at the style differences
among them. I?m not recommending anyone in particular.
