1. there are 52 white keys on a standard piano.
2. wouldn't it be ON and not IN?

There was a substantial period during the 19th century when the
standard piano keyboard did have 50 white keys (in exactly seven
octaves), as it gradually evolved from the original 4-5 octave
pianofortes to the current standard of more than seven octaves (with
52 white keys):

As I recall, both of the correct answers you have received so far have
related to 18th or 19th century writings (Ali Baba and the Forty
Thieves and The Three Musketeers, respectively.)  Could there a
historical aspect to this test that might suggest that 50 white keys
is indeed "a" correct answer?
