Accidentally funny number 4. Sasa Llic is really Sasa Ilic, born in Serbia, Yugoslavia. Sasa is a deminutiv from Greek name Alexander (Gr. Alexandros), which means "defending man". http://www.behindthename.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi? terms=Alexander&nmd=n&gender=both&operator=or In east european countries lastname suffix -ic or -vic is very ususal and means offspring of a father (parent) like in anglosaxon languages -son (John-son). So the last name is consisted from Ilya (comes from Hebrew Elijah) -ic = Ilic. thanks |
