Generally, banks will issue cashiers checks. If the money you are needing to use as a cashiers check is in your bank, ask to withdraw it as a cashiers check. There may be a small fee for this. Alternatively, you could try a check cashing place, but their fees will likely be higher. |

You can get a money order (similar to cashier's check) at any post office. |

hello. in the United States, money orders [similar to a cashier's check] are also available at most convenience stores like 7-11, Quik-Stop, Stop-n-Go, etc. if you need to WIRE MONEY to someone from your own bank account, your bank or the accepting bank will also do that but there is a fee charged and it sometimes takes a few hours to complete the transaction. finally, you can also pay some bills, wire money to someone, or receive money at WESTERN UNION offices, which are located in most cities, even small ones. In fact, some K-Mart stores, and some grocery stores [like Kroger and Harvest Foods] have WESTERN UNION outlets inside the stores. they should also sell money orders. |
