Small firm I'm supporting - Win2000 server, six users. Most were set up successfully before I got there, to connect to a network drive, and a network printer. I set up a new user (I thought) to connect to the printer (It's an HP5000 connected to the network via a JetDirect card). They're on an XP home workstation. We're using a workgroup at the office, not a domain. In order to get this guy printing, after every reboot, I have to browse to the printer, and it prompts for his username and password, which I put in. Perhaps he's not logging correctly? I would think that by requiring him to sign onto the machine, that it was logging him onto the server, too. Could someone point out what I'm doing |

Have you run the JetAdmin installation program on the PC you are trying to setup. It should be on the CD that came with the printer/card, or you can download it at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpwebjetad1880_swen.html |
