Hello Stg68,
Are you requesting a list of all firefighter's equipment?
Or a list of equipment required for firefighters in a particular
location? (For example, New York City Firefighters)
Are you looking for all available brands of each piece of equipment?

Hello majortom,
I am requesting a list of ALL the most popular/professional
firefighter's equipment.
About brands: I think it is not easy to provide all available brands
of each piece and I don?t necessary need it, therefore, if you list
just more popular it will be acceptable. For example:
In Gloves category you will list 15 (or more) the most popular gloves.
For each glove just specify the brand name and other requested
information.
Thank you

Hi stg68-ga!
I am having quite a problem with the aspect of the Firefighter?s
equipment code. Is this the NFPA (National Fire Protection
Association) code? I know that you only want this if available but if
it proves too difficult to find will a total absence of the code from
the list be ok as well?
Another thing is the term "most popular" equipment brands is pretty
subjective. Can just the list of brands for the particular equipment
be enough?
Thanks! :)

Hello,
That is OK I don't need NFPA code.
You can just list brands for the particular equipment.
Thanks

Hi!
I hope you will be patient with me on this one since it will take a
large list to assemble this one. I have started working on your
requirements and seems that I have a question with the format.
Whenever possible can I just do the format like this one so it would
be faster to complete the research.
Ex.
I. Axes and Sheaths
1. Brand Name
Link to Axe Pages (The link will have the details of the different axe
models the brand has)
Will this be ok with you as well? Furthermore most brands manufacture
different types of Firefighter equipment as well. Would repeating the
brand name for a different product be ok too?
Thank you. :)

Yes. It will be OK. As long as this list will not have only one brand
in each category.
Thank you.

I will unlock this question at this time since my approach in
answering the question will take a very long time. I will still try
though. I will give other researchers a crack at this one since they
may have a better and much faster way of answering the question.
Thanks! :)

How can you be sure there are at least 15+ brands for each category?
If a researcher cannot find that many brands per category, are you
still interested in an answer? This question requires a large time
investment for which a researcher gets only 75% of the posted price.
It is feasible that many hours could be expended, only to come up
short on the number of required brands, and thus, be unable to post a
satisfactory answer.
What are your thoughts on this? (I can see there may be a number of
models per individual brand, but not necessarily 15+ brands per
individual item)
Also, what kinds of books, what kinds of rescue tools and what other
type of turnout gear? Most everything you have listed can come under
the category of "rescue tools" which you have as a separate item.
A quick search of some of the major items in this list did NOT turn
of 15 individual brand names.
Are you willing to settle for the number of brands a researcher can
find under the price offered? At this point, you are asking for 330
brand names, additional research to find the manufacturer's web site
plus supply stores, for which a researcher will only get $75.00.

OK. It is not necessary to have 15 different brands per category. How
about at least 2-3 different brands per category? But still, I want to
keep 15 items per category?
Thanks

stg68,
Thanks for getting back so quickly. At the risk of most likely not
even being able to find 15 individual items per category (even if they
are different models of a few brands), I will not start investing time
in this question. Just think of hoses, for instance, or suspenders. I
have already had a look, and there is no way I can come up with 15
different models of an item like this.
Maybe another researcher will want to take this one!

I am flexible regarding answers. Just post your problems and we will
discuss the other possibilities.
I would like to simplify the answers: It must be more then one brand
in each category. In addition, if you unable to find 15 items per
category then how many you can?
Thanks

Hello again, stg68!
There are several problems with your request. For example, you have
lumped the category "Rescue tools" in with all the other Firefighting
tools in your list.
1. How do you define "Rescue tools." There is no such category on
firefighting websites as many of the categories you have listed are
considered Rescue tools. What do you want listed under rescue tools
(please define one or two tools that you have not previously listed)
2. Also, as I mentioned before, most researchers are not going to do
preliminary, unpaid research into this question and expend several
hours just to find out how many different brands might be incuded in a
category, only to find out that you do not consider that to be enough
information.
For example, I have found only ONE brand of TNT tool:
TNT Multi-Purpose Tool
Product Code: TN
Manufacturer: TNT Denver Tools
(Please define what you consider a TNT tool, if you are thinking of
something "broader" than what is listed under this name)
I have also looked at a few other categories and found only two or three brands.
3. You have also requested the manufacturer's name, the manufacturer's
address and website, and the Supplier's website. How many suppliers
are you requiring?
As I mentioned before, you are asking a researcher to put in a great
amount of work without any assurance that you will be pleased with the
answer. Please rest assured that any researcher who takes on this
question will do their best to find as many brands as can be found,
but you must accept the fact that there may only be one or two brands
available for a particular item. Others may have many more. *Unless
you are willing to accept the possiblity that only one brand may be
found (as in the case of the TNT tool), your question will likely
remain unanswered.

Dear umiat,
Here are answers to your questions:
1. Remove "Rescue tools" from my list
2. Use only ONE brand for TNT tool if you unable to find other brands.
I am not really an expert in TNT tools, so use your own judgment.
Still keep 15 items in this category. (Let me know if you unable to).
For other categories.. It is not necessary to have more than 3 brands
in each category. I would say it nice to have, but if it is only more
than one brand for 15 items in the category, it is fine too.
3. I am requesting only one supplier per item. Nice to have different
suppliers but not required.
Just try your best to give me different ones.
PS Let me ask you a question. I understand it is not an easy question
and requires some extra time. So, I am trying to simplify answers for
you in order to ?fit? in $100.
So, my question is:
Can you provide (copy/past) description (one or more sentences) per
item? If you cannot it is fine too.
But, if you can I will tip you $50 or I can increase an answer price
in $50, whatever you prefer.
Regards
