I need to know what steps Amnesty International has taken to procure
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi since her house arrest in 1989 to the present.
(After her house arrest in 1989, amnesty international declared her a
prisoner of conscience, I need to know as much as possible about what
Amnesty international has done to procure her since then. ie.-peaceful
protests, petitions, mettings with political parties. etc. anything no
matter how big or how small. I need this ASAP thanks |

The online Amnesty International library contains 61 articles
pertaining to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, dated from the mid-1990's to 2003.
There are more than 100 articles all together on Myanmar.
Would links to these two lists (of 61 articles, and more than 100
articles, respectively) meet you needs?
If not, could you let us know in a bit more detail what you need.
Thank you.

I am familiar with the online amnesty page, and you are right there
are alot of articles from the mid 90's on, but I need a chronological
account of what amnesty has done from her original house arrest in
1989. It is pertinent that I give as much detail as possible, see
below.
(I'm the head of a group project that is focused on Daw Aung San Suu
Kyi. there are four of us and we each need to research a different
aspect of her struggles to bring democracy to her people. However, at
the moment, one of them is M.I.A. The sum total of research the
remainder of the group has amassed falls 2 pages short of the 12 we
need. This is due tomorrow, so please respond asap.

As Iam pressed for time this is the best example of what I need:
1989- amnesty international declares Daw San Suu kyi a prisoner of conscience
*(hypothetical)*-July 1990- amnesty circulates petition to free DASSK.
*(hypothetical)*-Oct 1990- Political leaders from canada and the us,
based on information by Amnesty show their support for Dassk and urge
her release.
*** I need to know anything Amnesty has done in any facet to involve
itself in procuring Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
