My wife will be traveling this year from the US to both Ireland and
Israel to perform in concert. We want to ship CDs via USPS, UPS, or
whatever shipping method can be reasonably economical considering the
weight and distance.

1. What would it cost to ship 1 30 pound box to each country by the
slowest, most economical method possible? (We have plenty of advance
time to put them on a slow boat.)

2. Are there any tarrifs involved in shipping commercial items like
CDs into these countries?

3. Should shipping prove too costly, do general airline regulations
allow for non-threatening commercial products like CDs to be carried
inside a suitcase so long as they conform to weight restrictions? (We
don't know the airline yet. )

Thanks for your time and research.

Hello sermonauthor,

Please don't post your exact address, but your zip code would be
helpful in determining some of your answers, and what airport would
the flight be out of so that we can check the airlines serving that
airport. Thanks!

Of course that would be helpful. Sorry for not thinking of it. She
would fly out of LAX (Los Angeles) and our zip is 91401. Thanks for
focusing the question better.
