I once read a story in the Readers' Digest about woman who wanted to
learn Chinese and so she hired a teacher, a Chinese woman, who gave a
monumental amount of homework and who treated the woman who hired her
like a child in need of constant berating. In the end, the woman had
to let the chinese tutor go but, in typical fashion for this magazine,
the woman learned a valuable lesson. Anyway, I know that I was quite
young, maybe 10 or so (let's say about 1970)and I don't think it was
the main story of that particular issue. I would love to read that
story again so please find it if possible so that I might read it
again after all these years.
