i ran patchblaster.exe to eliminate blasterworm like symptoms in
winXP,it reported no blasterworm found/detected.my system shuts down
due to anti authority....remote proceedure call

My problem was solved by removing the W32.Welchia.Worm and the Blast virus.

It is the trade mark of the MS Blast virus. A virus unique as you are
able to contract it just from being online.

To stop MS Blast shuting down your PC before you can implement the fiz
go to the start menu, click run, type "shutdown -a" and hit enter.
(I'm assuming your an XP user)

Then visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e70a0d8b-fe98-493f-ad76-bf673a38b4cf&displaylang=en

This is the official Mircosoft removal tool.

Consider visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

and checking for any critical updates for you operating system.
