I am seaching for what I believe is a film produced by HBO, that stars
Bernard Shaw(former CNN anchor)George Clinton has a cameo role, Robert
Gieon (my spelling of his name might be off). The premise is that
aliens have come to earth, for what we believe is a friendly mission.
When in fact, their are realy here to have us (light complexion
people, only)
return to their planet as a source of food.

I believe you may be remembering part of a trilogy called "Cosmic Slop":

"In the tradition of The Twilight Zone, this bizarre,
thought-provoking trilogy addresses the destiny of the world's
minorities: Part I: A conservative African American politician must
choose between his people's survival and appeasing his white
colleagues when space aliens propose to share their profound knowledge
in exchange for all black people on earth. Part II: The Virgin Mary's
appearance in an inner-city housing project forces a Hispanic priest
to face the hidden cultural origins of Western religion. Part III: On
the dawn of the 'Black Revolution,' an African American couple
discovers who the 'real' enemy is."

The Hudlin Brothers directed this 1994 film, which featured Robert
Guillaume (of "Benson"), and was narrated by George Clinton.

If this is the movie you're thinking of, I'll be glad to post this as
the answer your question. I can also tell you where you can purchase
a VHS videotape of "Cosmic Slop."

A few more details that may be helpful:

"Cosmic Slop" was an HBO film. It aired only once, because HBO
received a great deal of negative reaction from viewers (including a
bomb threat!)

Although CNN anchor Bernard Shaw did not appear in the film, a
distinguished-looking actor who resembles Bernard Shaw played a
character obviously based on Shaw whose name was "Bernard Shields."

The segment involving aliens coming to earth to take people of a
certain skin-tone was entitled "Space Traders."
