I'm looking for 2 images/sources for signage display. 1 - Train station arrival/departure sign. I could swear I saw one of these in the Rome train station (or was I in Venice?) but it's black with white letters that flip over to update, so the whole board "refreshes" with new info. Am specifically interested in vintage-looking ones. 2 - Wall-sized map, either entirely backlit or with lights marking a specific area/city. Again, looking for a "vintage" look. For both images I'm interested in images that show them in an old/vintage setting, and sources for purchasing them. |

Not from an Italian train station, but from a US airport. These are from the old TWA terminal at JFK. It was designed by Eero Saarinen and is my favorite piece of architecture. It is no longer used and has been threatened with demolition. The departure board is beautiful in a minimalist way. http://www.lightningfield.com/extra/0103twa/ http://www.ared.it/pagfoto/slides.php?a=Saarinen&b=TWA_TERMINAL&c=NEW_YORK http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/TWA_at_New_York.html |
