The night of the assault on Redoubts 9 and 10 at Yorktown in October
1781, George Washington gave brief speech to the troops set to make
the attack. I need the text of that speech. It is apparently quoted
by Olney on page 276 in "Biography of Revolutionary Heroes; Containing
the life of Brigadier Gen. William Barton, and also, of Captain
Stephen Olney" By: Catherine R. Williams; Publisher: Providence, New
York, 1839; and also in "Our French Allies" by E.M. Stone on page 441.
