Hello Welday007,

The answer will vary by web server and configuration. Can you provide
some additional information on your set up (e.g., server, how the
personal pages are stored)?

Here is the server information...

Server Information
Operating System Linux
Perl Version 5.008
Perl Path /usr/bin/perl
Installed Perl Modules none
PHP Version 4.3.2
Mysql Version 4.0.15-standard
Sendmail Path /usr/sbin/sendmail

Application Background...

The client pages are located in subdirectories of the website's root
directory. The subdirectories are password-protected and
access-controlled through .htpasswds and .htaccess. All client user
accounts are set up and maintained by the website owner/administrator
through a web interface supplied by the ISP, iPowerWeb
(ipowerweb.com). Login to the protected directories is obtained via
pop-up login window.

Question...

The password-protection and access-control features currently
available through iPowerWeb work well in allowing for special client
"for your eyes only" subdirectories. However, the desire is to have
clients login from an HTML page, rather than the pop-up login window
method. What would it take to implement an HTML login page that would
properly interface to the existing password access features of the
ISP?

If you want something simple to make your webpage in i'd use something
like phpnuke.com or postnuke.com

If you want a plain old login script with nothing else then find what
you want here: http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Scripts/User_Management/
It has a lot of scripts so look at them and see which one you prefer.
Most of them are free as well.
