Hello Cornchip,

This appears to be a straight forward problem to solve, but let me ask
for a few clarifications:
 - do you mind if the file names are sequential such as F0001.JPG,
F0002.GIF, and so on?
 - if the "original format" is not stored in the Word file, do you
have a preference in output format (or extract to more than one
format)?
 - should the macro process a single open file, all open files, or all
files in a folder?
I can proceed without the clarification, but answers to there
questions should make the end result more usable to you.

Hello Cornchip,

This appears to be much more difficult that I expected. I can
determine which objects are pictures and reset them back to the
original size. It appears I can save them as individual word files -
not as the original file type unless some auxillary program can be
controlled from a Word macro. It looks like I'll have to pass on this
question.
