I have a 1998 Ford Escort (4-door sedan) with absolutely nothing on
the roof.  I need to find an inexpensive roof rack that I can attach
to the car just temporarily, so that I can safely strap a couple of
mattresses to the top of the car for an upcoming trip.  Some sort of
rack that just clips onto the roof of the car, without having to bolt
it down or attach it  in any permanent way, is what I need.  Thanks!

That looks like it would work, but I need something that's less
expensive.  And also, as I should have mentioned in my original
question, I need something that I can actually buy at a store in the
Los Angeles/Burbank area, rather than something I can only order
online (I'm flying out to LA, and then driving my car home).

I also forgot to mention that I would be interested in a rented roof
rack as well (I don't need to own it).
