Lately, I've had the theme music to the NES game Gauntlet stuck in my
head. I've downloaded the MIDI version. I am looking for accurate
sheet music or tablature for this score, and I would also like to know
who composed it, and if any other musicians have covered it. It anyone
has covered it, where can I listen to it? There are many versions of
this one tune, which I have found to be titled "Song A". Here is a
midi version that I like

Hello Garbonzo,
I also collect some NES game music. While Gauntlet is a game on the
NES platform, the company who published the game would be different.
For example, Gradius is from Konami, Street Fighter is from Capcom,
etc. Is Gauntlet made by one of these companies? Perhaps you could
inquire from them.

Hello Techtor,

I am not sure, but the cover of the game says "TENGEN". That's my
best guess as to who made the game, but I can't find any info about
them either.

Thanks for the information. Sadly, as it turns out, Tengen has been
long out of business. I'm not sure who to inquire from after finding
this out. Also, sheet music and tablature of computer game music is
certainly something I have been trying to find, but with no success.
Even the game companies don't seem keen on giving out this kind of
stuff. Let's see if something will turn up later on.

Ahoy,

Thats a bummer. However, I have found a site that has the MIDI i
want, separated into 4 tracks, and sheet music for each track.

They also have many other Nintendo games' music too.
Thanks for your time, Techtor.
