When I receive an attach with pictures and printing and forward to email friends, they only receive small red x's plus printing; also, the forwarding material is changed on their email to "subject", rather than "attachment". | |

Are you using Outlook to Send mail? if so then take a look at this http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm to remove it download the free tool from http://www.slovaktech.com/attachmentoptions.htm for outlook express http://www.jmu.edu/computing/security/info/outlookav.shtml |

When you see a x in a mail, then the graphic is not available or a viewer for it is not presently installed. For instance, you may have to forward the mail as an ATTACHMENT in some mail systems to get the pictures to appear when the recipient opens it. So make sure your mail application properly configured to send attachments. If all it can send is plain text mails, recipients will never get to see the pictures. Peace Chief! |

Yes, as far as I know, I am using Outlook Express, but don't know which one it is...only know that even when checking on the listings you gave in answer, I still don't have any idea of exactly how I could possibly go about forwarding harmless little messages with small cartoon figures as I have always done until Feb. when I renewed Mcafee (automatically), and then it began xing out all pictures in forwarding....oh, well, I guess I will just leave all as is, asd I have no idea, still, of how to change this now, and certainly don't want to be unprotected from future viruses. Thank you, all... |
