Identify a Watch - I have a Tag Heuer men's watch a few years old,
stainless steel, stainless link foldover strap, not a stop watch, says
on the face "professional 800 meters", has a screw down stem, and a
rotating tachometer bezel. Bears numbers on the back of the case that
read "WH1112-K1 and BX (possibly DX) 6951". The hour hand has what
appears to be a Mercedes benz symbol on it. Can you identify this
watch, when it was made, and its original suggested retail price? Was
it a Mercedes give away? It originally had European type font price
numbers on it, which have worn away. |

Tx. The bracelet is a heavy stainless link type. The links
individually have a mild vee shape. The clasp is a massive fold-over
type, a la old Rolexes, except this one has not one but two lock down
features. After it is closed, the first lock down plate is itself
locked down by another smaller latch.
The watch face itself is round, black dial, no numerals but sticks and
trangles for markers. The winding stem is set on the right in a
massive protective buffer that extends out from the case. The second
hand has a small circle set toward the end. The markers are night
luminous green. The bezel rotates only one way. On the bezel, the
numerals are set into recessed areas (this seems key - other watches
tend not to recess the numerals).
If there is a way to send you a picture, I will attempt to take one,
altho my inexpensive digital webcam is not macro.
Tx again.
