According to the Scottish comedian Sir Harry Lauder, in a protest song
about the rising cost of living, it used to cost 'twelve and a tanner
a bottle'.

Trust that this helps.

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but McTears is an auction
house in Scotland that runs specialist auctions of whisky. You can
contact them for valuation at this email address:
whiskyvaluations@mctears.co.uk

You also might want to contact some of the people who asked the same
question on this message board (click on their name to send them an
email):

There's also a page with lots of White Horse background info here:

   http://www.awa.dk/whisky/whithors/

Good luck!

One more resource; try posting your question here:

   http://www.scotchwhisky.net/forum/index.htm

Also, both in the email address I gave you in my prior comment, as
well as in searches etc., be sure to spell whisky the way the Scots
do, without the "e".
