Dear documentarydan-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question.

I guess that depends on what kind of voice qualifies as the kind you
specified. You can start by searching Google for (including the
quotation marks):

?voice work? narrators

or

professional voice work

or

voice talent

You?ll find a number of freelance narrators using this search
strategy, some with sites that have samples, such as these from radio
and narration voice, Ray Brown:

RAY BROWN
http://www.raybrown.biz/html/references.html

And this one from voice veteran Dude Walker:

DUDE WALKER
http://www.dudewalker.com/

Alternatively, you could turn to a representative agency or publicist
like Marketing Mania, Inc.:

MARKETING MANIA, INC
http://www.mktmania.com/voiceovers-narration.html

I listened to many of these samples, and they?re all great, but DO NOT
miss this opportunity to listen to both ?Tom? and ?Max? (hey, you
can?t go wrong with a guy who has a name like ?Max? ? his voice
especially impressive!).

Below you will find that I have carefully defined my search strategy
for you in the event that you need to search for more information. By
following the same type of searches that I did you may be able to
enhance the research I have provided even further. I hope you find
that that my research exceeds your expectations. If you have any
questions about my research please post a clarification request prior
to rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating and your final
comments and I look forward to working with you again in the near
future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Documentarydan --

I recommend www.voicebank.net

It's the best industry resource around to search for voice-over
talent, including narrators for documentaries and celebrities.

Pretty much every major reputable professional agency for Voice Overs
has its demo reels here -- and you can listen to hundreds of samples
in one stop shoppiing. you can search for talent by name, by city,
etc.

The website says you need to register, but I believe you can skip the
log on and just click on "search house reels" and listen without
registering. Even if you DO have to register, there is no cost to
use voicebank.net
