I am looking for a friend of mine who seems to have dissappeared off
the face of the earth.  I won't give you any info until I know that
you are able to give me updated info.  All the search engines that I
have tried have failed.

Just a suggestion, but one of my favorite sites for this type of
search is http://www.knowx.com  They list a combination of free and
paid searches, with a lot of useful links.  While you may end up
having to pay a little if you can't locate your friend with the free
ones, the prices are pretty reasonable.  For example, I helped someone
I know find his ex's current address and phone number for $2.95.  Good
