Researcher,

I'll be graduating and moving to Fairfaix, Virginia on this May 15th 2004.

I really want to find the best place for the money! My question to you is

[- A -]
I would like a list of resources, such as www.rent.com or
www.apartments.com, where I can look for avaible places to rent within
0 to 15 miles from Fairfax VA, 22033 (apartment, condos, townhomes,
etc., 2 bedroom 2 bath). Price Range (just so you know): up to $1400
(including any monthly fee's, the cheaper the better of course!)

I really just want very nice / descriptive sites. For example, on
www.rent.com, you can view pictures, a map, prices, and forplans (A
Must!), and distances based / intuitive search engines. I only have a
couple days in the area so I'm going to have to pick a few places to
check out.

You should probably have at least 5 sites? Hopefully more =)

[- B -]
If you want to earn a nice tip, you could single out some apartments /
townhomes / etc. that have the qualities I'm looking for

 * Coverd / enclosed Parking (I have a motorcycle I want to protect
from the elements

 * Decent space: I'd like the master bedroom to be a nice size, maybe
something like 12 x 16 or similar

 * As close to the rt. 50 and rt 66 intersection (Fair Oakes Shopping
Center) as possible. I hate traffic!

* Seperated room floorplan: I'm going to have a roomate, and I'd like
the rooms not to be neighboring each other

* W/D and Dishwasher in Unit + A/C

Thanks! I'll check peridically to clarify questions.

Researcher,

Each of these sites shouldn't return the same results. Of course there
will be overlap, but obviously I'm looking to view as many apartments
in the area as possible. Thanks!

Hi jgortner,

I've been working on your question and would like to show you one
apartment I found which is as close to the criteria that you have
specified as possible.

http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1010585#features

The only criterion it doesn't meet is having separated bedrooms.
Anyway, let me know what you think and meanwhile I'll keep looking.

Regards,
Rainbow~

Researcher,

I not crazy about the place, but its okay. I love that it has garaged
parking, but it seems like a hotel. I was looking for something a
little more home-y, kinda like
http://www.rent.com/apartments/washington-dc/washington-dc-and-vicinity/fairfax/426931/2/

or

http://www.rent.com/apartments/washington-dc/washington-dc-and-vicinity/fairfax/426928/2/

Additionally, the seperated bedroom thing is kind of a strong
preference. The price for the place you listed is really great though!
I'd say your on the right track.

I do appriciate your effort on this question. I home is a special
place and I'm glad I have your help.

It looks nice. The place seems a little small for the price of $1,465/mo.
