Is there a mobile home park in the United States (especially in California) that is powered primarily by solar electricity? Not just solar water heating, but solar electrical power as well. ($25.00) |

It would be necessary to charge lot rents atleast 20% above comparables and/or double the usual charge for electrical hook up to provide 30% plus of the KWH = kilowatt hours from solar. I don't think many people would be willing to pay the premium rates. Getting 60% plus from solar when the park was near capacity would require costly energy storage for night time and cloudy periods especially in December when the Sun is low in the sky thoughout the Northern Hemisphere and night lasts 13 to 20 hours per day.
