A friend of mine from the dorms and I used to play a game. The rules
of the game were thus: 1) you had to be in Google search engine. 2)
you could use two and only two words. 2.5) words can be anything that
doesn't get spellchecked by google 3) that means no "quotes" or
+pluses or -minues or anyhting like that. 4) You could only get one
result back. 5) things on the same page don't count (you know pgp.com
and pgp.com/sepecific.html are counted as one hit) For example, at
the time of writing this, the search :

monkeypants compacts

would be a "winner". ... now, to be fair, 1) no posting answers you
have until one of the researchers answer the question (what if it
makes more hits for that search!!). 2) researchers can't lock in the
question until they have ... lets say 10 of 'em that they can plunk
down right then and there (otherwise this wouldn't be a game!). 3) no
repeating yourself excessively - you can't have squirrel hat and
squirrel happy and squirrel smile, for example. 4) may the best
man/woman win!!!

P.S. My friend and I got pretty good. I can usually find a winner in
less than 10 hits, garunteed. Here's a few tricks:

1- get a really bizaare word; like monkeypants and a really normal,
totally unrelated word; like compact. You get 6 results. Play around
with the common word by adding pre- and suffixes. ... like -s
(compacts)

2- No results suck. BOO!!! If you get those, the likely means youre
on the right track, though. Maybe try a differant common word??

3- peanut butter is two words - that's what google says. monkeypants
is one word, google doesn't say otherwise. Of course, Tavatak is a
word under those defanitions, too (but no webpage has the word
"Tavatak" on it) - see...it's a balance.

Hello Bellybutton19,

Ah, someone wants a few "Googlewhacks". I can certainly point you to a
site with a number of current whacks. I checked the first few in the
current list and they are all pretty good (one or two had 1 of 1 of
about 2, both from the same site) and can provide the URL. Someone
with the handle "Kandlkahn" has 7 of the top 20. If that is an
acceptable answer, please let us know.

I'm sorry. I tried quite hard to think of something that would allow
researchers something "fun" to do - not so researchy. I don't know
about you, but I like a little switch up when I'm at work, and what
you termed "googlewhacking" was the best thing I could come up with.
I tried to be pretty clear that I wasn't looking for you to look up
another website that does this for you, but, rather, that I wanted you
all to have some fun. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.

... I really don't know where to go from here on this question ... ??

What's wrong with leaving it the way you set it up (now that
it's unlocked?) I have 10 for you! I'll play your silly game... :)

Because maniac-ga pointed out there is a website that has it done for
you? ...or am I wrong on this one? If I'm wrong, I can admit that.

I'll play! Sure, there *are* websites that have listed them
for you, but, as you pointed out, that's no fun!

To find those sites with ready-made lists to pick from,
just do a search on 'googlewhack':

The following were found the hard way...by trial and error,
and, as you noted, it was a fun break from the usual kind
of research we do:

googlewhack papert
://www.google.com/search?q=googlewhack+papert

niedert manhunter
://www.google.com/search?q=niedert+manhunter

mannekin manohar
://www.google.com/search?q=mannekin+manohar

languescent mohair
://www.google.com/search?q=languescent+mohair

rapscallion hurdlers
://www.google.com/search?q=rapscallion+hurdlers

nincompoop hypsiprymnodon
://www.google.com/search?q=nincompoop+hypsiprymnodon

hypophyseal steatonecrosis
://www.google.com/search?q=hypophyseal+steatonecrosis

cervicothoracic cherdrodermatitis
://www.google.com/search?q=cervicothoracic+cherdrodermatitis

icteric kinesitherapy
://www.google.com/search?q=icteric+kinesitherapy

translarian companions
://www.google.com/search?q=translarian+companions

I think you'll find that they satisfy your guidelines,
but if not, just let me know where I let you down, and
I'll be glad to modify the list accordingly.

Please do not rate this answer until you are satisfied that
the answer cannot be improved upon by way of a dialog

I love your 'whacky' imagination, sublime1!

I can hear Julie Andrews, as Mary Poppins, singing "Hypophyseal
steatonecrosis, even though the sound of it is something quite
atrocious..."
