I need to find an 802.11b router that can cover about a 1-2 mile

I think that you need a kit, so please let me know if you are looking
for something like this:
"Wireless 802.11 WiFi 'Hot Spot' ":
http://www.accelenet.net/wireless_form.html

See the paragraph "Longest range end-user equipment" , for a kit
suitable for communicating up to about 1.5 miles away, depending upon
antenna heights.

I will wait for your response in order to continue researching.

Dear Sunra,

I have only been able to locate one wireless router that states 1 Mile
open-field distance when paired with their USB wireless adapter or
WLAN PCMCIA adapter. This Router is fully compatible with all 802.11b
devices.

The router costs $209.95
The USB wireless adapter costs $99.95
The PCMCIA Adapter costs $99.95

Would this router be of your interest?

Thanks,
Bobbie7
