Hello Hemmens051--

Thank you for your question.

There are several ways for you to find out the name registered to a
particular phone number.

First, you may call information in your area. This may be achieved by
either dialing 411 or 1411 on your phone. You may also reach
information by dialing your area code and then the numbers 555-1212.
It is legal for phone operators to give you this information.

Second, you specifically asked for free online reverse phone number
searches. There are several that I have used with success.

Reverse Phone Directory. This site allows you to search one phone
number in several different online directories, including "White
Pages," "Phone Number," and "InfoSpace." You simply type in the phone
numbers and clickon "Lookup." The link to this site is
http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/

Anywho. This site also allows you to type in a phone number for free
and search for a matching name and address. The link to this directory
is http://www.anywho.com/rl.html

The Langenberg Reverse Directory. This site also allows you to search
several directories at once, including "Smart Pages," "Google Reverse
Directory," "InfoUSA," and "AnyWho." The link to this site is
http://reversedirectory.langenberg.com/

A third way for you to conduct a search to determine to whom a phone
number is registered is to go to Google.com and simply type in the
phone number into the search feature. Simply type the number in this
format 212-XXX-XXXX.

Keep in mind when using these searches that the information is only
available of the name of the person to whom the number is registered.
Also, only information for published phone numbers is available.

To conduct this research, I used the following search terms: reverse
phone directory

You may view the results of my search online. The link is

If you need any clarification or additional information, please don't
hesitate to click the "clarify" button.

Thanks,
