Howdy buffalobill-ga,
According to the "2002 Standard Catalog of Firearms: The Collector's Price
& Reference Guide" by Ned Schwing and published by Krause Publications, the
Pedersen Custom shotguns were manufactured for Mossberg (O. F. Mossberg &
Sons, Inc.) between 1973 and 1974.
It appears you have a Model 2000 as there is no Model 200 and the Model 2500
had double triggers. If truly Grade 1, that is, new in the case, absolutely
no rust (the insides of the barels can rust if not stored properly, etc.)
and no wear, etc. it was worth up to $2500 in 2002.
You might be able to get more information about your firearm from the National
Mossberg Collectors Association (NMCA) as even Mossberg suggests people contact
them with questions on discontinued models.

"If you need information on any older/discontinued Mossberg rifles, shotguns
or parts, please contact the National Mossberg Collectors Association. The
NMCA has the historical data to answer all of your questions."

"The National Mossberg Collectors Association was formed in November of 1988
with just a handful of folks interested in the collecting aspect of Mossberg
arms and accessories. Today, we have over 1000 members in 46 states, including
international members from Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, France and Canada."
They have an email contact page at:

"Send us your question or inquiry ... We promise a timely response to
your question or a referral on where you may be able to go for additional
assistance."
The 2004 Standard Catalog of Firearms: The Collector's Price & Reference
Guide is described on Amazon.com's web site as:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0873497023/
"Declared 'an indispensable reference guide' by NRA's American Rifleman,
collectors will turn the pages of this completely updated and expanded
14th edition and know it is an unparalleled publication."
From the above Amazon web page, there are links to purchase new and used
copies of the book, and larger libraries might have reference copies.
If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.

Howdy buffalobill-ga,
A correction to my Answer; it appears there might have been a model 200,
which is listed as a SxS on the Blue Book Publications, Inc. web site,
but the "Standard Catalog of Firearms" doesn't list it.
http://store.bluebookinc.com/downloads/SalesPage.asp?product=firearms&Heading=690
From the rest of the numbering system listed on the site above, such as
Models 2500, 3000 and 4000, I think their reference to a Model 200 might
be a typo, and indeed they are referencing the Model 2000.
Apologies, denco-ga - Google Answers Researcher
