Hi, I've been told by some friends and co-workers that a person can
get really great deals on houses that are sold from divorce
proceedings. Usually, the houses are sold under market value because
the spouses just want to liquidate their property as fast as possible.
I am interested in such houses. Where can I go to find houses that are
sold under these circumstances?

Probono's response may have been tongue-in-cheek, but there's a lot of truth in it.

I don't know where you live (what country) but it's unlikely that
there's a central file anywhere, of house sales BY REASON.

People wanting a quick sale due to divorce (or any other reason) will
use the same routes as everybody else: they'll just put a lower price
on. A good estate agent (is that a "realtor", in the U.S?) should be
able to advise you of the best "bargains" in your preferred area,
irrespective of the reason.
