Hello, I run a bare bones Exchange Server 2000 (with newest service
pack). I am a technical user but don't know much about Exchange other
than it works fine for just 3 users and has been troublefree for
several years. I backup by using Exmerge to create a PST file which
then gets put on tape. Recently, I've noticed that I'm getting errors
in my Exmerge report. The file generated is about 900MB but is leaving
out lots of messages. I have search around on the web and noted that
Norton Anti-Virus could be part of the problem and so I've tried
disabling NAV while running exmerge (newest version) but am still
getting the errors. I will post the log file to give you an idea.
Perhaps I am hitting some type of size limit? The mailbox probably has
about 50,000 messages spread through multiple folders. Here is the
log. Please let me know if you have any clarifying questions or
another good way of doing a simple backup.
