Dear shpops-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question.

Obscene Pornography (generally defined as ?Depictions of excretory
functions, penetration, S&M practices, acts with "artificial devices",
and/or acts of sodomy that are judged offensive) is illegal in the
following states:

ALASKA

ARKANSAS

COLORADO

CONNECTICUT

GEORGIA

HAWAII

IDAHO

IOWA

LOUISIANA

MAINE

MICHIGAN

MINNESOTA

MISSOURI

MONTANA

NEBRASKA

NEVADA

NEW JERSEY

NORTH DAKOTA

OHIO

OKLAHOMA

OREGON

RHODE ISLAND

SOUTH DAKOTA

TEXAS

WASHGTON STATE

WEST VIRGINA

WISCONSIN

WYOMING

Child pornography of course is a Federal crime and is illegal in all 50 US states?

U.S. Code: Title 18: Section 2252

Possession with intent to sell, and sale, of obscene matter on Federal
property is also a crime:

U.S. Code: Title 18: Section 1460
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/ts_search.pl?title=18&sec=1460

Mailing pornography is also a crime

U.S. Code: Title 18: Section 1461
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/ts_search.pl?title=18&sec=1461

The Transportation of obscene matters for sale or distribution is a crime:

U.S. Code: Title 18: Section 1465
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/ts_search.pl?title=18&sec=1465

It should be noted that in many states where pornography is
permissible, there are judicial actions pending that are attempting to
make pornography a crime or at the very least strictly regulate it. In
other states where it is permissible, certain local jurisdictions
within those states have restrictions on it or prohibit it altogether.

By the same token, in states where pornography is illegal, it is
sometimes viewed by authorities as a crime that does not warrant the
attention some feel it deserves and as such it may not be enforced
with great enthusiasm even though it may indeed be illegal there.
Which jurisdictions these are is basically determined by the position
of the local authories on the matter.
