I have a TEAC DV-2150 and am trying to play a Region one DVD thru to a Sony Trinitron KV-PG21 TV and I don't know whether either or both items are NTSC compatible and if they are how to get the DVD work as at the moment I just get and 'invalid' message. Thanks, Jo |

Hi. The problem is primarily with the TEAC and has less to do with NTSC and more with the region of your player in relation to that of your disc. Your player model is not Region free. The player is "NTSC playable" but this generally just means that if you have a disc that is NTSC in the player's default region, then you will be able to play it. Obviously your player is not set to Region 1 by default. The hack is to have the tray open, key 2168 on the remote and the screen should display the Region code x (whatever it currently is). Then you push the ENTER button on your remote till the Region changes to 9. It should work cause it's working fine on mine. After that, you'll be able to play discs from all regions. |

Will your DVD player play other DVDs? Which country are you in? |
