Hello crouchy:
My research revealed that it might be difficult to get a data on the
top 100 drug distributors because of the fact that there are so many
smaller players in the market. I have been able to locate a source
that describes in detail the top healthcare distributors in the USA.
This report was presented to Congress on June 2001. The study itself
was conducted in 1999. The study provides an overview of the
drug/healthcare distribution market in the USA and detail statistics
on distributors as well as wholesalers. According to the details there
are five big drug distributors (big five) and 15 other significant
distributors. (The rankings are based on their revenues). There were
about 70 distributors at the time the report was published. I can help
you locate the websites of these distributors.

I can direct you to a comprehensive list of the Top 20 drug companies,
ranked by pharmaceutical sales as well as by R&D expenses. The list
is for 2002.
From what I can see, there do not appear to be publicly available
rankings beyond the top 20, perhaps because there are so many smaller
players in the business.
Let me know if the top 20 woudl suffice as an answer to your question.

Thank you to leader and pafalafa for your responses, however, I really
am only looking for a definitive top 100 drug delivery companies list
and I'm not entirely sure that I'm going to find it so will probably
have to cancel the question if I don't get anything suitable in the
next week.

I found exactly the list you're looking for. It's a commercial
product, and it's for sale at the bargain basement price of only $685
Euros!!!
