I have a client whose PC is running XP Home. I set up his My Documents as an open share on his XP Home PC. I did the same on his XP Pro PC. Both machines are in the same workgroup and can see each other over the same router. The XP Home machine can see the XP Pro machine with no difficulties whatsoever. However, when I try to browse to the XP Home machine from the XP Pro machine to the My Documents folder, I get a Permission Denied error. I've looked and looked all over the XP home PC, and can't seem to find where I can amend the permissions. Any ideas? | |

Try adding the user account being used on the Home machine to the Pro machine (same username and password), add do the same from Pro to Home. Test to see if it works. Thanks. |

Make sure you put the folder you want to share into the "Shared Documents" folder |
