Trying to find the name and artist for a rock album I heard in early
70s. Thinks i know about it: 1) From 1972 or before. 2) Song 1 or 2
from one side has this prominent lyric: "...Even you...can be a
believer..." 3) I would describe the sytle as rock, maybe like acid
rock. Thats all i have.

Could the song be 'Believer', by Blue Cheer?

You're a young man now and you toss your hair from your shoulders.
You're feelin' strong and all the young girls are comin' on bolder.
While back at home, the old folks just get older.
Why wait around when the world needs you to lead her.
There's a band in the streets going to play for the homecoming soldiers.
While back in D.C., man, The White House is shaking asunder.
Cause the Senators fear that the young vote is gonna take over. (Watch it !)
You're a young man now. Watch him toss his hair from his shoulder.
Even you could be a believer.
Even you, a mighty believer.
You're a young man now and you haven't got a lot to lose.
Even YOU could be a believer.
Even YOU, a mighty believer...

'Believer' was the second song on Blue Cheer's 1971 album "Oh! Pleasant Hope":

If this is your song, I'll be pleased to post an official answer. If
not, of course, we'll keep looking.

I am almost certain you have it. I actually thought it was Blue Cheer,
but i had th wrong album (New! Improved!). The date is right, th lyric
is right, and song order is right. I will have to actually get th
album to be completely certain.

I can't play an LP. Amazon has a listing for an import CD of it; i put
myself on their Wish List for it (none available). Does your source
have th CD?
