I am a senior film student shooting my thesis film project just
outside of Area 51 from April 3-12 and urgently need help acquring an
unusual prop. What I am looking for is something that resembles UFO
(flying saucer) wreckage. Whether it be something that someone claims
to be UFO wreckage, just wreckage from an aircraft, or just a
miscelaneous metallic object or piece of circuitry that if seen
briefly on screen that a viewer could interpret as UFO wreckage. I've
searched the internet and various auction sites but haven't been able
to find anything at all yet. Any sort of small (size of hand) object
that looks like it could be of alien origin could be used. As my
budget for this film is limited, something inexpensive is prefered.
(under $50) Whatever is found I would like to receive a picture of
first (print or digital) to see whether it would work or not. Thanks
so much!

Good question, and it's kinda funny that I (Xeno) would answer your question...

I think the best a cheepest way to create stuff like this is togo to
wall mart or where ever and buy one of those emergency blankets (in
the camping area) $5 ? (It looks like foil) you can buy some close
cell styrafome or something like that and cut in to peices that you
like and tape the "blanket" on it and have various objects to your
liking that look to be metalic and are light as nothing.

BTW the object from A51 probably was a weather balloon, they are made
of the same material as the "blanket".

Other items you can tape/glue this to:

-Cell phone: Leaving the screen exposed.
-Sticks
-Ball
-Plactic bowl
-Tire (car,bike,kids toys)

Film this so that the reflection blinds the camera so the stuff can
not be easy identified.

Ect...
