I need to buy a Samsung x400 unlocked tri-band phone in yellow color.
I have found many in dark blue and Samsung seems to be producing the
yellow variety but it is nowhere to be found. Possibly with
international shipping. I am in the US, at least shipping to the US
must be provided and credit-card/paypal/western union payment should
be accepted.

I received a negative from Samsung USA. 
I have seen it traded on European websites, however I don't like to
buy it used. I think searching in Europe/Asia is the way to go. I am
raising the bounty.

Like you, all I could find was Dark Blue.

You might be interested in this site, which indicates that the
available colors are:
"Deep Blue, Yellow Green, Dark Violet, Caramel Orange"

Also, if you get desperate enough, you might consider a company that
does custom paint for devices, though you would need to check if they
will do this phone.  (They are known to color iPods, laptops, gaming
consoles, PCs, etc.)
