Hello ahealer, The Banta diet was developed by a Dr. Zilberter, in Sweden. According to the BantaDiet.com site: "Banta Diet is a revolutionary all-you-can-eat program that allows you to lose weight without hunger and without counting calories, carbs, or fat.?. As with any diet, this diet incorporates exercise. The diet seems to focus on high fat foods that contain a high ?fat burning index?. The site says? Foods with high Fat Burning Index enable your body to switch its metabolism from the carbohydrate biochemical pathway to the more natural and healthy fat biochemical pathway -- the only one that burns body fat for fuel.? http://www.bantadiet.com/inside http://www.bantadiet.com/? See a sample diet on the left hand column of this page: http://www.bantadiet.com/sample_meals/breakfast.htm A sample breakfast from Bantadiet.com: Bacon and Cheese Puff 8 slices bacon 2 medium onions, sliced 12 slices sunflower bread (recipe included) 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, shredded 8 eggs 4 cups heavy creams 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper red pepper sauce to taste Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Cook the onions in leftover bacon grease. Arrange half the bread slices in a single layer in bottom of greased casserole. Sprinkle with half of each: crumbled bacon, onions and cheese. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over top layer in pan. Bake at 375 degrees until top is puffed. The site sells two plans? A Do it Yourself Plan, for $49USD a month, and one with the assistance of Dr. Zilberter, for $120 USD. I was unable to find any books on the Banta diet at Amazon.com. http://www.bantadiet.com/start Hope this helps! Please ask for an Answer Clarification, before rating, if any part of my answer is unclear. Regards, crabcakes Search Terms banta diet |

Re: Banta Diet URL
From: dabadmin-ga on 08 Sep 2004 06:29 PDT |
The URLs provided in the answer are wrong. The best way to get there is starting with domain URL: http://bantadiet.com - then using navigation buttons e.g., inside, fat burning index, sample meals, success stories, or getting started. For some reason, the domain URL remains whenever you move within the site. |

Thank you dabadmin, for your partially correct, but terse comment. The links in the answer are not wrong, but the first one has since been broken. It was most certainly working when I penned the answer *6* months ago. The second link, however, takes the customer to the exact link you provided. Google Answers can not possibly know whenever a site changes, adds, or removes pages from it's site. The URL of the site remains the same, no matter which link you click onto, becasue the site is written in frames. Regards, crabcakes |

Hi crabcakes, Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I do understand that broken links are mostly webmaster's fault, not yours (or mine) - in this case, it seems to be nobody's fault since thay definitely changed their site's structure. It was just my $0.02 in case people would try to click :) |
