That is hard to tell without looking at the file itself. If you have an updated viruskiller you'd most likely be safe. You can locate the files by using the search function in your start menu. If they are in a folder belonging to a program you have installed, this is probably where they came from. If these files are started when you boot up your computer, and you want to stop them from doing this, you could Start->Run and type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and look for them under the StartUp tab. Just remove the tick in front of the name and reboot - the programs shouldn't be starting anymore. However, if these files belong to some software you have installed, the software might not work properly anymore. You can always go back to msconfig and turn them on again. To be sure if this is a virus or not I'd advise you to locate the files with a search and send them to one of the companies that make viruskillers, ex. f-prot at http://www.f-prot.com/virusinfo/submission_form.html -steeg- |

Not knowing what kind of system you have and what kind of programs you are running it is a bit of a hard guess what those programs are , however the names of the programs do give away some of their functionality Dfb4A4 is an RGB color code for a pastel in the brown range and UvB4 is a name of a filter code My guess is that these programs are either part of your Video card (although I have never heard of any of them using this kind of programs) or you have some elaborate paint/picture editing program installed If both are not the case there is a chance they are masked programs or trojans , or some other sort of spyware or indeed a virus Get a program called Spy-sweeper from Http://www.webroot.com (it is free for first time users , if you want updates you need to pay for a subscription) and a good anti virus program (Norton or Mcafee) , if you do not have 40+ dollars available to shell out for a virus protector , there are some free alternatives available of which the better one is AVG from Http://www.grisoft.com |
