I am trying to find a book specifically about the underground railroad relating to the historical sites involved in the underground railroad in Washington DC. I DO NOT want a book about the underground railroad in "general" it would be useless to me. Can anyone help me out. | |

Hello. Yes, it is possible to obtain a copy of Hilary Russell's "Final research report: the operation of the Underground Railroad in Washington, D.C., c. 1800-1860" (2001). I called the Historical Society of Washington D.C. at 1-202-383-1850. The person with whom I spoke indicated that they could copy the report for you at 20 cents per page + tax & shipping. You may send a written request for a copy of the publication to: Library THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF WASHINGTON, D.C. 801 K Street, NW Washington, D.C. 20001 Call 1-202-383-1850 for more information. -------- search strategy: "underground railroad in washington" Thanks! |
