guaren-ga:
The type of paper you are seeking, is actually a product line called
InfoSeal self-sealing mailers. Several formats and sizes are
available, all featuring pre-scored edges and folds, with adhesive
pre-applied to the appropriate surfaces.
There are two technologies available: the modern version uses
pressure-sensitive adhesive, while the older version uses adhesive
that must be moistened. Depending on the volume of checks you are
looking to send, the choice is up to you which technology is best: the
pressure-sensitive ones require a special machine to fold and press
the mailers together. With the older version, you can still get a
machine to moisten the adhesive and fold the mailer shut; however, if
you are doing very small volumes, you can just as easily use a wet
sponge and a rolling pin (the baking kind) to take care of things.
Here is one website that tells you more about the InfoSeal products:
http://www.generalgraphics.com/infoseal.html
The actual manufacturer of InfoSeal products is InfoSeal, LLC. They
have some stock form designs:
http://www.infoseal.com/products/infoseal-stock-checks.shtml
Using these stock form designs will save you some money, as you will
not need to meet any special minimum production run sizes for custom
designed forms.
You can purchase InfoSeal and PressureSeal check mailers from this online vendor:
http://www.printcheck.com/catalog.php?catID=6#13
(links directly to the InfoSeal checks at the bottom of the page, wait
for the graphics to load)
The same vendor also sells the automated folding/sealing equipment if
your volume is high enough to warrant it:
http://www.printcheck.com/catalog.php?catID=8
Most importantly, the same vendor also sells MICR printers and toner,
to ensure that your checks are acceptable by all banks without
additional cost to you or the recipients.
Incidentally, as you will have noted, I have answered this question
under the assumption that you are interested in check forms. If
instead you are looking for other types of forms, please refer back to
the InfoSeal website at:
http://www.infoseal.com/products/infoseal-mailers.shtml
for other form types. You can contact them directly using the Info
Request feature of their website, to inquire about the most economical
source to obtain these other types of forms given your actual
location.
I hope this helps!

guaren-ga:
InfoSeal's product line has two versions. The InfoSealPS version is
the newer, pressure senstive line. The older, InfoSeal line is the
moistened adhesive type. If you wish to be certain, I recommend that
you contact PrintCheck.com directly to confirm that they are
advertising the correct product. For example, the 'Duplex Blue
Infoseal Check' at the very bottom of the PrintCheck.com page above,
should be a moistened adhesive type.
