I am looking for information and published reports on the pattern and
trends (over the next 1-2 years) in Information Technology spending
in the US in the following three sectors (sector names follows
Hoover's classification at
http://www.hoovers.com/free/ind/dir.xhtml)

(i) Transportation
(i) Leisure
(ii) Media

For example, I want to know whether and how much each of these sectors
is spending on technologies such as Web Services / EAI / Workflow
management / Business Intelligence etc .... Also, I would like
information on what sector-specific technologies and products are hot.

I would also like some surrounding information such as

(a) the business reasons behind these investment trends, and the kind
of IT applications companies in each of these sectors is building
around these technologies.
(b) whether these investments are going into custom applications or
off-the-shelf products

Quantitative data as well as qualitative opinions are valuable,
especially when they are from reputed sources such as analyst firms,
universities and research labs.

Thanks!
