Government auction and then I try to sell on EBay. Primavera contact
me and ask to remove that auction when I show my invoice that I bought
legally from Government auction through my Attorney they back off but
complaint to EBay to remove my auction and EBay remove it and don't
want to listen my view. I am stuck with 30 copies of "Primavera
Project Planner 3.0 Upgrade". I need to know how I can sell without
the help of EBay auction. I did try other auction site didn't work.
Price of this Upgrade is around $3000.00 and I am ready to sell for
around $500.00.

Hello!

I found several sites where you can sell used software:

At 'Adpost.com Free Classifieds' you can sell your software: they have
several categories to clasify your software ad.
http://www.adpost.com/cgibin/classifieds/us.cgi?db=us_software&website=&language=&session_key=

Retrosoftware.com:
"As our name indicates, we stock older versions of new (unused) and
used computer software. Also, you can sell your software to us"
http://www.retrosoftware.com/

Software Exchange
"... was founded with the objective of making
the ownership of
genuine software more affordable, through "recycling" used but legally
transferable software."
http://www.softwareexchange.com.sg/company/about_archive.htm

At Yahoo Shopping, there's an option to sell 'used software' but I
couldn't figure out how:
http://shopping.yahoo.com/used/computers.html

You may check this Usenet newsgroups:

alt.ads.forsale.computers
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=alt.ads.forsale.computers&num=75&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&safe=off&sa=N&tab=wg

misc.forsale.computers.pc-specific.software
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&safe=off&q=misc.forsale.computers.pc-specific.software&btnG=Google+Search

Additional Links:

I also found this article at Infoworld about selling used software. It
talks about similar problems with Ebay:
http://www.infoworld.com/articles/op/xml/00/04/03/000403opfoster.xml

And another one at St Petersburg Times:
http://www.sptimes.com/News/51799/Business/Secondhand_Software.shtml

Search Strategy

sell "used software"
secondhand software
"used software"

Good luck!

Usenet newsgroups don't work because I post six months ago and never
heard from those sources.
I already try yahoo.com on auction and in used software?s categories,
no response.
Adpost.com Free Classifieds is not for that kind of software?s, I only
find only 3 software?s listed with $10.00 price.
I need qualified website where peoples look that kind of software?s.
There is one reference you provide me where website owner have their
kids photos for help.
I think I clear myself.

Dear Primavera03,

As you've already experienced, your right to resell legally bought
software is being questioned by the IT corporations. Although this is
not fair from my point of view (as well as many other's), you may find
many problems trying to sell it.

I checked again the links I gave you yesterday, and I firmly believe
they might be useful for you.

Retrosoftware is buying itself legal used software from the owners:
www.retrosoftware.com
You may send the list of the products you own to
feedback@retrosoftware.com or fax a list to (561) 760-4690.
If they don't buy the kind of software you own, they might be able to
tell you where you may sell it or who may buy it.

Softwareexchange seems to be very serious. They acquire used software
products from organizations and private individuals and are very clear
on legal issues.

I really hope you can sell your SW!

You might be best targeting your advertising at corporations that use
Primavera, eg the Construction Industry and IT Project Management. You
might find that a small ad in industry specific newspapers or
magazines would bring you a better response. This is a fairly high
value business-oriented product: most corporations don't look at free
classified websites for that type of thing.
Your local library or chamber of commerce / better business bureau
may well subscribe to industry magazines, or have a press directory
listing publications by industry sector.

Have you tried listing it on E-bay with another item? For example:
Offer the Primavera Project Planner 3.0 Upgrade for free with the
purchase of a IDE cable? And of course the asking price for the IDE
cable would be $500.00.. This works for selling Microsoft Software, or
selling concert tickets.
