I am looking for the overseas manufacturer or distributor of a product
found on a US Company?s web site selling track lighting accessories.
The item can be seen on this web page
(http://www.solairco.com/TrackAccessories.htm) and is about two thirds
of the way down the page, carrying this description: ?Bulb Holder
(standard), black, for holding the MR16 light bulb, Item#: L17-LH,
Price: $1.95?.
I contacted the seller for quantity pricing, and was told they only
keep a small supply on hand and will need to order larger quantities
from their overseas supplier. Given the unrealistic pricing they
quoted for bulk orders, I?ve decided to try to track down their
supplier and deal directly with them.
Information I need:
Name, address, and contact information (email, phone number) of
manufacturer or distributor.
Web address of company, if available.
Part number and description.
Information I would like to get, if available:
Pricing at various levels (100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 units).
Specification sheet for lamp holder.
This ?bulb holder? (also called ?lamp holder?, ?lampholder?,
?lamp-holder?, etc.), is the bi-pin electrical socket for a low
voltage (12v) MR16 halogen light bulb. Because of the high heat of
halogen bulbs, their sockets are usually made of porcelain topped with
a sheet of mica, with a pair of stainless steel wires. The MR16 lamp
holder shown on the Solairco web page is made of plastic and has no
wires, which makes its retail price about half that of its ceramic
cousins.
The lamp holder I need is for an MR16-style bulb with a GX5.3 base,
where the ?5.3? refers to the space, in millimeters, between the two
contact pins on the base of the bulb. And while I would like to find a
supplier for the item sold by Solairco, any inexpensive plastic lamp
holder for the MR16 GX5.3 base will be acceptable. |
