I need to cover large windows in a loft, here is what we are looking for:
Great style
Durable
Consistent (no fabrics or materials which are going to be hard to
match or unavailable at a later time, we had a bamboo floor disaster
with this)
The windows are about 1.5 stories high in an area with little privacy.
A must for any solution would be that we could close the top half (to
cut down on heat, the windows are south facing) while keeping the
lower half open for a view, or vice versa using the top half open for
light and the bottom half closed for privacy.
Our place is very Wallpaper* in style, we are less concerned about
price than quality and design.
What I need:
A list of manufacturers of modern high-end wondow treatments
Reference pictures and good websites to look at for inspiration
Bonus Rounds:
Good contractors, designers and resources in the San Francisco Bay Area
What I do not want:
Any thing that looks suburban or country. No Laura Ashley...
We have considered the electric glass, but unfourtunately it cannot do
the 1/2 opaque 1/2 clear, or any sort of gradient. Cool material
though.
We will need to put in some sort of electic system to control the
coverings as well, we have a lot of space to cover.
Thanks!
